2. Have the kvm switched to the Mini before booting, For some reason the Mini needs to see a monitor connected or else it never sends a signal.
I have had no problems since figuring this out and I have let the Mini sleep all day and it never fails to awaken. My G5 on the other hand doesn't care if the monitor is seen or not, but let it sleep to long and getting it to awaken can be frustrating. Hop this helps.
